The Dreaming Void, JENTL and 1201_Alarm

Music Music Music: the independent music discovery podcast.

Selfie by The Dreaming Void

The Dreaming Void (formed in October 2017) are an English synth-pop-rock band based in Norfolk.

They are an originals band that hit the sweet spot between early 80’s alt rock & more current synth pop culture. The band influences are: Future Islands, Echo & The Bunnymen, The Pretenders, The Cure, Curve & vocal influences spanning from Chrissy Hynde to, Blondie & Gwen Stefani.

They say:

We are 5 piece alt synth rock (or something like that!) band from Norfolk, in the U.K. We have various influences but with a definite bias towards alternative music from the 80’s.

We recently released a new six track EP called Lines, which we promoted with a gig. Have uploaded all the tracks from the EP, including the singles The Stranger, Lines and Selfie.

Better For Me by JENTL

JENTL began as a performance moniker for Brooklyn-based singer, producer, and songwriter Darren Dominique Davis. During the summer of 2023, the project was re-shaped into a band featuring the combined talents of Daniel Mehaffey (bass) and Jimmy Arvan (drums). The trio explores electronic/pop music with smooth vocals, distorted samples, and shimmering synthesizers.

The Chiller by 1201_Alarm

The mission of 1201_Alarm is to engage and entertain, celebrating the wonder of science through music.

In their live shows, they aim to prove that even non-scientists can enjoy and take pride in all that science brings to the world in the 21st century.

Steve says:

“Music inspired by science technology and endeavour. Our first album launched to the Moon in December.“
